PRP's Quick Release Steering Wheel Hub is built for off-road and the abuse that comes with it. Each is made from solid billet aluminum, and then anodized black for durability. This hub allows you to quickly disconnect the steering wheel. This is helpful in vehicles with tight space where its hard to get in and out with the steering wheel in the way, or just for some extra anti-theft protection! Each Hub has machined with finely tuned splines tolerances, so you will have minimal movement in the wheel. We made the release handle extra wide on the hub, so it's easy to grip and disconnect even when you have race gloves on. Designed with a 6-point bolt pattern to work with our PRP Steering Wheels (and the majority of other aftermarket steering wheels).
UNIVERSAL WELD ON The quick release hub comes with a universal center spline that can be welded to the steering column of almost any Jeep, Truck, or Buggy. Shaft diameter on the spline is 3/4"
(Note: A steering wheel puller may be necessary to remove the OEM wheel).
Exactly what i needed and solid to last. Makes easy to use Packout boxes between two vehicles. Easy install just needs 4 longer 6mm x 30mm bolts worked for mine.
I went to place funnel in place and it cracked with small amount of placement force only. Cracked half way along side of funnel at 3D printing line. Poor quality.
Hi Jeanne, As we discussed on the phone we produce hundreds of these and in rare cases, they can have manufacturing defects. This is why we offered to ship out a new one for you. Based on your review, it seems you are not interested in a new unit. Thank you for making us aware of your concern, we will add another level of QC.
Excellent build quality and works great, does exactly what it’s supposed to. I used rivet nuts to install the mount to make it easy to remove if I needed to.
